Mount Vernon: Expanding Fort Belvoir Elementary
When Fort Belvoir Elementary School opens in 2016, an expanded campus will provide a base institution for all school-aged children of Fort Belvoir families. Hugh Arthur McDermott, born May 5, 1936 in Moore County, N.C., died Sept. 19, 2015. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering in 1959.
