Following two years of limited personal contact, Mount Vernon At Home marked a return to in-person gatherings with its annual gala May 25 at River Farm.

With a theme of “Celebrate! Together Again!” the organization shared its successes during the pandemic as the Senior Village concept continues to provide crucial services to individuals and families throughout the area.

The Senior Village provides aging in place options to allow seniors to live safely in their own homes. Mount Vernon at Home, established in 2007, is a grassroots organization committed to helping retirement age neighbors live engaged lifestyles and provide support as needed.

“We do this by connecting our members to exciting programs and events and to critical resources needed to maintain and support vibrant lives as they age,” said executive director Sarah Drexler.

Sponsors included Crouch Realty Group, Everly-Wheatley Funerals and Cremation, Goodwin House and Paul Spring Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care.
