On Dec. 11, working with the Friends of Dyke Marsh, the Mount Vernon-area based Girl Scout Troop 2335 tackled English ivy threatening trees along the George Washington Memorial Parkway. In two hours, they clipped, removed and collected 14 bags of this invasive plant.
