An 18-year-old is facing charges related to a series of residential burglaries in the Mount Vernon District that began in early November. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Section (CIS) worked together with the Neighborhood Patrol Unit (NPU) and patrol officers to identify Davian Reyes-Reyes, of Alexandria, and take him into custody on Dec. 6.
Detectives were able to recover property that belonged to victims of the burglaries in Reyes-Reyes’ home and a nearby location, and it will be returned to them. Reyes-Reyes has been charged with two counts of burglary, one count of grand larceny, one count of petit larceny, and one count of destruction of property. Additional charges are expected. Reyes-Reyes is currently being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.
