I have a favorite T-shirt that has the following printed across the front: “George Washington For President.” The shirt should to be worn by people who, in this election year, desperately want to vote for a candidate who has attributes akin to those of President Washington. These include honesty, high intelligence, forceful speaking, a touch of humility combined with a carriage of strong conviction, someone who would never be bribed to vote on a congressional bill one way or another. I look for someone who believes that “government of the people, by the people and for the people” is the basic foundation of our nation. In the upcoming election study carefully, do not blindly vote for “whoever is the candidate of my party,” but the candidate who
is most like President George Washington, the Father of our precious nation.
