Mount Vernon Brief: Esther Manns Named Interim Principal at MVHS

Esther Manns, who has served as an assistant principal at Mount Vernon High School since 2004, has agreed to serve as the interim principal for Mount Vernon High School, effective Sept. 14, according to a release from Terry Dade, assistant superintendent of Region 3. She has more than 30 years of experience in Fairfax County Public Schools as an English teacher, an ESOL teacher, a reading specialist, and a Lead Fairfax Administrative Intern.

MVHS Principal Nardos King has accepted an assistant superintendent position with Baltimore County Public Schools.King began her career at Mount Vernon High School as a finance technician. She then went on to become an instructional assistant, a teacher, an assistant principal, and then principal of Mount Vernon High School for the past nine years.
