Firefighters will sponsor back-to-school children’s haircuts on Wednesday, Sept. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Gum Springs Community Center, 8100 Fordson Road. Firefighters, local barbers, and beauticians hope to cut hair for 150 youngsters.
The Fairfax Fire and Rescue Department, Fairfax Police, and Virginia State Police will have equipment on display, along with performing clowns, face painting, and moon bounces.
