White tents dotted the landscape of the west field at the Mount Vernon Estate last weekend for the annual 18th century

market. More than 40 crafts people displayed their wares. Soaps, glass, brooms, groceries, baked goods, furniture, housewares, clothing were just a few of the items being offered for sale at the market. All products were produced by hand with 18th century techniques. Entertainment included the Itinerant Band, the Punch & Judy Show, Signora Carmella Bella, Otto the sword swallower and others.
